I notice things like this in old buildings, but I never really think about how they actually put these kinds of things together.

(101,730 posts)really uninteresting and structurally non-creative so that that they can rely almost totally on heavy equipment for their construction. They will be imploded in decades to come with not a second thought. But, the gorgeous buildings that they replaced will never return. sigh...
