Cheap Hotel Commercial Comfort Love Song
Song about a guy who encounters an old flame as a hooker in a cheap hotel.
He is still carrying her high school picture in his wallet.
A clueless audience laughed, thinking this song was comedy. Maybe I'm wrong, but it isn't very funny if you have lived it. The song had the opposite effect on me.
It is, imo, the most compassionate country song ever written, far better than "Three Crosses", but not as airplay friendly.
I thought is was cool that the cop in the story has a heart.
