One of my best friends and I have a little disagreement (friendly).....
She says Rachel's "almost always off on Fridays.".....
I say "she's off on Fridays at times but not almost always"....
I told her I would ask DU'ers to get some input....
What say you?

(10,039 posts)That may change with her new contract, unsure, if she will be off on Fridays now. This was a long weekend and it is not unusual on a long weekend for many of the anchors to take the day off.

(4,305 posts)Some only get 1 week and others get 4 or more. Rachel surely deserves a vacation even if she only takes Fridays off for long weekends.

(15,070 posts)It's Lawrence O'Donnell who is almost always off on that day.
Rachel will occasionally take a long weekend, but she's mostly on air all five days.
I watch her pretty regularly, so I'm aware (and disappointed) when she's not there.

(1,292 posts)Rachel likes to fish. Im beginning to see a pattern when there is a major hatch on trout waters, Rachel takes a day off. I like the idea, whether true or not.

I agree that it's normally on holiday weekends. And I'm almost sure that Lawrence's workweek is Mon.-Thurs and off on Fridays.
Of course, Rachel's new contract is bound to include some noticeable changes.
Thanks to everyone for your responses.
