What is the most AVERAGE movie of all time? A solid 5 on a 0 to 10 scale?

What is the most AVERAGE movie of all time?

Everybody always talks about the BEST and WORST movies of all time.

Most underrated.

Most overrated.

So bad it's good.

Best movies of particular genre's (action, comedy).

But... what is the most MEDIOCRE movie of all time? What movie is a solid 5 on a 0 to 10 scale?

I just don't find adultery tragically romantic (or romantically tragic). Sew your wild oats before you tie the knot.

I used to walk into rooms when I was in the Army where people were watching a movie. This movie, and I’m a huge Eddie Murphy fan, is just so blah it’s unremarkable

But that's a little different than average or mediocre, IMHO.

Abrams was a big Star Wars fan, too.

I say they are mediocre because I did not really enjoy watching them, but somehow, I felt I had to ... twice.

Abrams admitted he was not a Star Trek fan.

His Star Trek movies were quite good.

...Andy Hardy, The Good Earth, Spencer Tracy being "sincere", Mrs Miniver, that sort of thing. Films that made Lace Curtain Irish families happy--hey, my Dad's family was Lace Curtain Irish--that never bothered the censors for a moment, and in which nobody ever lost their temper, sweated, or had to go to the bathroom.

When we first met my wife watched some of those. She asked if I’d ever seen a few and I responded that I can’t imagine watching those types of movies.

Gene Autry, Roy Rogers, Lone Ranger, etc

Fun when you were kid at the Saturday afternoon picture orgies, but definitely a 5 now.

If you were a horse crazy kid as I was, those movies are 10s just for the horses, even now as an old, former horse lover. I have no idea about their other merits since I only ever looked at the horses.

50% on the Tomatometer, 54% Audience likes. Can’t get much closer to average than that.

It was once said that HBO stood for “Hey, Beastmaster’s on!”

I dunno...Runaway Bride?

Sweet Home Alabama?

Maid in Manhattan?

How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days?

Anything starring Katherine Heigl or Josh Duhamel?

Something like that. You catch my drift.
