I had a big surprise today. Through a series of changing events, I ended up with my buddy moving in with me today! Well for a week or so while his mom gets transferred into her knew living space, temporary but...

He was going to come and visit today while I received a load of houseplants and his mom called and said she couldn't find him. He was limping this morning and she closed to the house but he let himself out. She called to tell me she couldn't find him. I went to her place and found him right where I knew he'd be, he walked right up to me, limping. I locked him in my old apartment until we got the plants loaded then we loaded him up and drove to my place. I offered to just keep him until I have to go away for a few days, she'll be ready to take him for that long and I'll get him back for the long haul, until her house is finished and she can move into that.

I gave him some hemp oil with some food and he's napping now, he's really happy to be with me, he's been living with me for a year so it was a shock when I moved. I'm excited to have him here for a while.

He was fighting with a an enemy cat from the ranchette next door, my landlady's best friend, their cats, not so much. And sometimes he gets nailed. I've tended worse wounds on him so he'll heal up quickly. I think he may have been bitten by the other cat. He usually wins the fight but, little does he know, those days are now over. He'll probably be relieved when he figures that part out.

He's six or seven and that's old for a ranch cat so he may not be hard to convert to an indoor only cat. I plan to bring him out back of my place and let him snoop around some. He comes when he's called so I am confident he'll be easy to deal with here. He stays in most of time in winter, which will be here soon enough, I have nature working for me on this, I hope!
