Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsOh, for the love of gawd... yet another wildlife encounter tonight
Pooper was just making a weird meow. I could tell something was up so went over to her to see what she was doing.
There is now a frog (or maybe its a toad) in the house.
How did it get in?? No flippin clue.
The bad news is now I cannot find it. He hopped away to somewhere. Should have just grabbed him instead of going to get a cup to scoop him up in. Im scared to step on the poor guy and all the oriental rugs around here are making frog-spotting difficult.
Im pretty sure the cats wont hurt it. Hell, the dude already made it all the way to the bedroom unharmed. They are used to and mostly uninterested in amphibians after our year long stay at Mom and Dads house and their approximately 30 billion toads and frogs hopping everywhere. Pooper was just following it around and alerting me to it.
Ill keep watching her and Im sure shell point him out to me again. And Ill walk very lightly and carefully till we catch and release him.
Condo, condo, condo now.
UPDATE: The frog has been captured and freed outside. That was fast. Leo tracked him down for me. Pooper had already retired from the search and rescue mission was at her food dish having a snack. Cats. Smh.

(22,993 posts)The 14 year old cat would ignore it, but the young-uns would be chasing it for sure. Dog almost took out a long picture window chasing a lizard the other day. So glad I was here to stop the mayhem before it cost us a lot!
