I recall way back In 2001 when I first discovered Democratic Underground, a user by the name of newyorker*** would post milestones of other members here.

2. My best friend introduced me to DU the next year. What an amazing time it has been.

It was Bartcop that brought me to DU.

Conservative Idiots list, racing to see who could get to it first. Sadly, we lost her to breast cancer in 2006.
