(46,528 posts)Yes after surgery you need it. But if you keep wearing it the back muscles stop working.
Yes these idiots call me every day too; I have had a lot of ortho injuries and surgeries.
But these braces are wrong wrong wrong to wear on a permanent basis.

(1,569 posts)Thanks for responding. The person keeps saying he is from Medicare. I always say I know this is a scam and I am going to report him.

(34,131 posts)Scammer: Your knees must hurt?
Me: No, they are amazing, I have no knee pain, ever!
Scammer: So you have back pain?
Me: My back never hurts - I can pick up seventy five pound bales of hay and throw them in the second floor hay loft with no pain!
Usually they give up at that point. I do all my answers very cheerful and upbeat and am enthusiastic about my lack of pain.
Poor scammers, can't even sell me a back brace.

I could go with no-phone, basic cable for a few dollars less, but it's a hassle to set it up, and rework the router, and/or guarantee the condition of their router at $500. So I keep the phone but leave it off the hook most days.

(46,528 posts)Maybe Biden can put that on his to do list.

Most of my SPAM friends will try to fool me into answering the phone by using fake Caller IDs. I'm onto them and I never answer, or try not to. They don't leave a message either because if they did, I could report the SPAM call. When there's no message left on my machine, then there's nothing I can report.
