My wife started watching this at lunch (still working at home). I joined in and then went back to fill in.
This is not an easy watch. Kate Winslett (almost unrecognizable) is a detective on a murder case.
The core of her story is not pretty at all. Several of her former teammates on the high school basketball team are still in the picture.
Again, I highly recommend it. One season - 7 hourlong episodes. Im reading about a season 2 but I dont see how thats possible.

(11,553 posts)Found it very realistic. Ordinary homes and people without any polish at all. We almost felt like voyeurs it was so realistic.

(9,291 posts)Now I just watched the first episode of American Rust. Love it too, might have to spend the ten bucks a month to watch it all. Just when I thought I was out, they pulled me back in.
