The CT DMV answered by call re expiration of my drivers license!

They told me they mailed my renewed license to me a week ago but the confusion I had might be because it was mailed from a mail house they have in Mass. (don't ask, I didn't).

They're sending me another (since they already cashed my check). I won't be driving with an expired license after all!

Now I hope this is End of Story.

Yes, I had to laugh. It was funny, but also touching that he thought that way. CTyankee Sep 2021 #4

Why are DMVs notorious for messes. I had one last year.

all the info in their car so my story would ring true, because it is. He said "Mom, if anything they'd probably escort you home."

I'm good now.

I called my son who had said he'd drive me to the DMV so I could straighten this out. I told him the good news that he didn't need to drive up here from lower Manhattan where he lives to get the license imbroglio worked out. I had pretty much given up.

I had made several calls and each time a recorded voice told me my license was "mailed."

Do you ever wonder where something that is "mailed" (but never comes) is?
