One thing is starting to bother me about that Murdaugh Assisted Suicide claim. There were seven bullet casings found at the scene. And the guy only ends up with one non life threatening wound. Does he even lose conciousness? How could he not be dead with seven chances to take him out (and supposedly that's what he wants)? Very strange.
Any thoughts DU crime buffs?

(33,643 posts)Shooting accurately in general is harder than it looks, so if the person hired had no actual experience, he might've made all sorts of mistakes.
Maybe?

(8,027 posts)Murdaugh is worried he will be arrested and charged with the murder of his wife and son. So, he hires someone to shoot, but not seriously injure him, to make it look like he is also a target of whoever killed his family members. But, the shooter gets caught and doesnt want to go down for attempted murder, so the story gets changed to the wacky, but less culpable explanation of an assisted suicide gone wrong.

(9,291 posts)but gets airlifted to a trauma center for superficial head wound. Is that even a thing? Then decides I got to check into rehab.
My bet, daddy did it all. Youngest son, who is now dead, is responsible for the poor girl who flew out of his boat, also the housemaid. Oldest son had something to do with the 18 year old pretty gay man murder.. Daddy shot and murdered wife and youngest son.
Money does corrupt, completely. Found a good podcast called the Murdaugh Murders Podcast.

(44,973 posts)It would also be extremely hard to ensure head wound was superficial and not lethal, if that was the goal.
