My friend gets to town Tuesday evening and leaves Friday with Squeaky and Gwen. So, just a little more time left for mass kitty cuddles than I expected. I no longer have to collect them - they just start to gather. It's pretty sweet.
Meanwhile, another photo of the kittens preventing me from being productive. Well, to be honest, this was earlier. Now they are in the play room because I have to go out and buy a leash. Sophie Stinky Toes, who has ALWAYS been terrified of the outdoors, now wants to explore that new environment. Before, as soon as I put her in a harness and leash, her legs would collapse beneath her. Now I have to be very careful that she doesn't follow me outside. And, of course, although I found the harness, I can't find the leash.
But, I digress. Here's the photo:

(277 posts)Well this is just great. Although I've never laid eyes on the babies, held them, cuddled them, gave them kisses or played with them, I'm heartbroken that they're leaving. Bye Babies, have a purrrrfect life.

(26,249 posts)He was so small and looked so fragile, I took extra care to give him a lot of nurturing and attention. I'll really miss his morning snuggles.
But, both Morgan and Madoc are pretty good at snuggling, and the bigger they get, my lap will soon be running out of room.

(12,462 posts)Madoc is going?
I will miss his sweet face and his beautiful black and whiteness.
Still wish I could make him my cat.

(26,249 posts)Someone advised it best to keep the brothers together but other people have told me that's nonsense. So it's likely Gwen will go with Squeaky and Morgan will stay with me, Sophie and Madoc.

(6,576 posts)2 years ago we adopted 3 cats, after my previous sweetie passed away. There were 2 at the shelter, different litters, a couple years apart in age, who had bonded at the shelter & did everything together. We adopted them both & we're so glad we did. They're best buddies, we call them "the dynamic duo." Our cats like to play in our garage because there are so many interesting things to sniff & climb on in the garage. Occasionally one of the duo, usually the big boy, will slip into the garage when I go out for something & before long the other half of the duo, his girlfriend, realizes he's out there & she's not. Then she'll sit in front of the door to the garage & meow her furry little head off (she has a very extensive vocabulary) until we open the door so she can go out & be with her buddy. It's so sweet & I can't imagine ever separating them, they'd be lost.

(26,249 posts)They all play and wrestle and sleep interchangeably. I'm good either way because I love them all and will deeply miss which ever kittens move to Chicago.

(26,249 posts)I've been checking to see when's the earliest this can be done. Apparently around 5 months is good. They are at 2 months, now. When I take them in for their next round of vaccinations, next month, I'll be sure to ask.

(6,576 posts)All your posts have made me want to foster again, but at this point in our lives, with my wife & I both running our own successful businesses, there's no way we would have the time. When I retire though... (he said as if he will ever retire...).
Great job!!!
