HS band

Today there’s a HS football game being played close enough that I can hear the band and occasional applause. So I guess in some ways we are getting back to normal. My state just issued a mask mandate for large outdoor gatherings. People around here seem to be pretty compliant with the rules so that’s good. But it took me back a little listening to what they are playing. I couldn’t really identify most of their music other than the emporor’s March from Star Wars. I thought back to what was played back in my day. I remember two that were common. Aquarius/let the sun shine in and my Beautiful Ballon. Guess you could guess when I was in HS. What was popular back in your HS days?

attended the HS football games we brought a supply of washers and dropped them down the concrete ramp as folks were exiting for half time...mean, but such a scramble by the greedy...fun for us...

2. Sorry to sound thick-headed about this but what do you expect from an all-girl school?

What happens when you drop a bunch of washers down the concrete ramp as folks are exiting for halftime? Inquiring (and rather cloistered) minds wanna know.

Aquarius came out a couple of years after I graduated. We basically played the typical marching band songs, Sousa marches and the like. I'm sure there were other more contemporary songs our director threw in the mix, I just can't remember them.
