Scrolling past the categories to excerpt here, I remembered the SNL skits about the Oscars - don't care, don't care, don't care...
As with all my commentaries, especially about awards shows, I have not seen *ANY* of the thingies, but am entranced, mesmerized, ZONED into awards shows, mainly because I am under the delusion that I am seeing "actors" as *actual* humans outside of their roles - haha!1
So, going back to the scrolling to select bits of something that might be "different" from the ostensible excellence. Well, I love Olivia COLMAN, whom I've only seen in The Favourite. Jordan PEELE (perfect back when KEY and PEELE) is still abandoning KEY and PEELE?!1 Note to Jordan, nothing is worth doing that. It's not how
Tom HANKS left behind Peter SCOLARI from Bosom Buddies. Come on, those "scary movies" aren't worth it, never better than KEY and PEEPLE, you're welcome.
As for judging cultural recreations, let me put it this way: I've lived through embarrassing things like Vietnam, JFK/RFK/Marilyn, Princess Di & Dweeb Charles,' Bill & Monica, and have *ZERO* desire to have these things recreated. I don't care how well the recreations are "acted" - do NOT want to re-live the danged things. Nothing can replace the pain we all lived through at the time.
Allison JANNEY!!!!!!!!!!!!1
*Wait* a minnit!1 - Kenan THOMPSON is fine in SNL and even underrated despite being there the longest, but here he is competing against SNL SUDEIKIS for whatever, now *THAT's* interesting, would make me want to watch (the awards)!1

***ON EDIT: And I detest Bill MURRAYL, but here's one "Don't Care" SNL awards:

Will Ted Lasso sweep the comedy awards? Will it finally be I May Destroy Yous time? How will The Crown, with 24 nominations, fare?
.... Lead actress in a comedy series
Nominees: Aidy Bryant (Shrill), Jean Smart (Hacks), Allison Janney (Mom), Kaley Cuoco (The Flight Attendant), Tracee Ellis Ross (Black-ish)
Tracee Ellis Ross, Aidy Bryant and Allison Janney have all put in solid, under-sung work carrying their three respective series: seven seasons of Black-ish, Hulus underappreciated and undaunted Shrill, and the Chuck Lorre-created sitcom staple Mom. Kaley Cuoco deserves accolades for her portrayal of Cassie, a frazzled, reckless woman hounded by trauma and a murder investigation, in a performance that anchors a series liable to go off the rails. But Emmy voters should hail the incomparable Jean Smart (see also: Mare of Easttown), whose portrayal of a comic in her cynical sunset years nearly crackles off the screen.
Will win: Jean Smart
Should win: Jean Smart ...
