Snoozing on the job, eh, heretic?
A HERETIC I AM
(24,365 posts)And believe it or not, this is the first chance I've had to look at the thread! I worked until about 4:30 Sunday morning, or rather I got home at that time, and was beat, so I hit the rack straightaway and slept for 9 hours. A phone call from dispatch woke me up to go straight back and run another trip!
So here I am, looking at yesterday's LOL's, almost 24 hours late.
So....
Belated YAY!

(21,417 posts)a common pattern in calico cats, which is what made me think calico. Plus, the shepherd does have a tri-colored coat with a lot of white.
ON EDIT: Chimera works, too. A dog-cat. A dat? A cog?
soldierant
(6,836 posts)and that is ofen referred to as "chimera." I believe it can happen in cats when two embryos fuse, but it can also happen without that, and I don't see why that couldn't happen in dogs.
This goes into detail.
wnylib
(21,417 posts)this genetic use of the word "chimera."
Venus the cat is who I had in mind when I said "calico dog."
