My trip so far...

To Georgia and northern California.

Airport security was a PITA but I had little trouble at all.

Well, got on an Airbus in Milwaukee, flew to the Atlanta airport.

The disembarking point for the plane was at one end of the Atlanta airport, and the baggage claim, (one suitcase and I carried-on my backpack,) was clear at the other end of the bloody airport!
Was glad they have those moving sidewalks, lots of African art to view along the way.

Got on a shuttle bus to Macon, just outside of Atlanta I was so happy I wasn't driving, the traffic was horrendous!

Got picked up by a friend in Macon, we drove to his house, here.

Warm and muggy here, as compared to back home where it's in the 50's and 60's.

Tomorrow morning I fly from Atlanta, to northern California, to stay with my sister until Friday.

She and her hubby are planning to take us around, to San Francisco, the redwoods. and the ocean.

1. Yep, musician from Britian once described Atlanta (even worse in Macon): "A sweaty little town."

4. Had to drive into Atlanta last week. Knuckles and joints still hurt from squeezing steering wheel.

When I lived inside the beltway (I-285), I knew all the backroads and shortcuts. So, could avoid traffic. Now I pretty much have to pretend I'm a race car driver -- or sloth if traffic is stopped -- to survive.
