Had hoped to take an RV road trip in early October from our home in central Washington state to Escalante National Monument in Utah.
Changed route to avoid Idaho as much as possible, given both their politics and the "crisis care" status of their hospitals - not wanting to chance it (though vaccinated, mask).
Now reading that Utah is spiking, as well.
Wondering where it might be OK to road trip in October... or ... ???
TIA!

(24,728 posts)Oh - because COVID rates are so low? You SHOULD snark on that!

(8,308 posts)Most of the Repugs in ID could be in the hospital or in the ground. There are Democrats here, too. We're a pretty decent bunch. It should only take a few hours to get through here, though. So just don't stop or if you do, wear a mask. Same with Utah.
There's lots of pretty places in Oregon, if they haven't burned down. New Mexico, too. But really, the western states are all pretty much a mess right now.
