Our bombay brought one into the house the other night.
My fault since I didn’t check her mouth before allowing her inside.
From living room I hear, “BuzzBuzzBuzzBuzzBuzz”.
Hear wifey “What the hell??”
Hear SlapSlapSlapSlap of fly swatter wifey grabbed.
Hear patio door open
Hear patio door close

Mille would run thru the doggy door and come sit at my feet with her mouth buzzing away. She was so happy.

Helps that they were raised around dogs, I think.

They all want a dog treat even though they don't all eat them. I shake the dog treat can and they all come running. The cats bat them around, playing a game that looks like hand-ball and hacky sack combined.

The cats also play catch. I toss the remaining end of a small dog bone and they will catch them in their paws. Some better than others. Sometimes they bat it back at me.

They're still very much cats though, with all the cat traits as well as a few dog ones.

ate cicadas and LOVED THEM. I sure miss her to this day. Fabulous dog. Pound hound that looked just like a Gordon Setter. Thanks for this post. Great stuff.
