(41,780 posts)I just went on my semiannual trip to Trader Joe's in Portland Maine and bought a cooler full of their pork dumplings.
I don't eat a lot of meat, but I could've eaten it all...
Sauce = teriyaki, oyster, sriracha
Yum
Heading to Portland (late this week, after Portsmouth and Providence,) so suggestions for places to eat and things to do appreciated. (Saving Trader Joe's for my next return to DC suburb.)

That said, all our osprey nests were empty yesterday
Osprey nests around here empty too (kind of, tho one on Chesapeake still active,) and just saw pic of a late osprey @ Hog Island. and heard of a few in Conn.

(3,307 posts)Fall River, MA (my hometown) has an excellent Chinese restaurant called Mee Sum on South Main Street, try a Chow Mein sandwich. When I went back there a few years ago for a visit, they also had huge egg rolls.

You might also want to try a chourico sandwich, (Portuguese sausage, think Italian sausage spiced with paprika). Marcucci's is awesome (not fancy, but good eats)

You can also visit the Battleship Massachusetts and the Marine Museum

There's also a restaurant called the Cove near the battleship, gets good reviews-have fun!
