The Reds clinched a .500 season today...

...and good for them. They won't make the playoffs, but they surprised a lot of people and took some big steps to becoming contenders again. I'm not a Reds fan, but I have taken ballpark trips to their beautiful park, and the great city that surrounds it. Baseball is better with a strong Reds team--they were the first, after all. And Joey Votto certainly clinched his Cooperstown case with a terrific comeback year. He should get at least some MVP votes...

followed the Reds exhaustively, from the Big red Machine all the way to 2016. After he passed away, I tried to follow them, but they were in the basement in 2017 and I gave up on them.

I was happy to hear they did so well this year.

...and who doesn't love a Reds' 9-2 win with a grand slam tucked into the 6th inning (except maybe a Card's fan...lol).
