but don't knock it. You have to be there and see people and kids across the spectrum sitting and watching open-mouthed. Larisa can go suck an egg.

I walked up and down the sidewalk, thinking how I didn't belong there, and I was middle-aged - old enough to know better. I didn't know anything about art, I wasn't raised in an artistic household, all I had was a spark that had been lit by someone I knew who was an artist. I felt like the minute I walked through that door, there would be a neon arrow pointing down at me everywhere I walked, marking me as a poser (in my world, we use the urban dictionary spelling). I had to remind myself that no one would actually even notice me at all to get up the courage to finally walk through those doors.

A year or two later, the next time I walked into an art museum, it was a major one in a major city, and I stayed for 5 hours, entranced.

If this exhibit brings people to art and artists that may not have encountered them any other way, then good.

and am very much looking forward to it. I love museums but this seems like a cool, fun thing to do.

paintings. If someone was right in front of us we could just look on the floor to see the exhibit. I was floating on air for hours after the exhibit. Dopamine high for sure. Very well done.
