I've tried for years, if not decades to find that "perfect shoe" and IMHO this is it. Health issues made it a quest to find that shoe fit just right and wasn't a pain to put on- hand problems. I hate Velcro straps both in looks and giving that right pressure around the foot. These slip on without bending over and , since I have different foot size because of swelling, are a blessing. I was able to "add" some width to my right foot something couldn't do with previous shoes-- Wife ordered a pair and loves them also as she couldn't find a shoe in her size and width, but these shoes fit her perfectly.
BTW - Zeba throws in a pair of ankle-socks and a pair of alternative laces
Cons- expensive (order from Zeba directly-not Amazon) at roughly $130, and a bit heavy weight-wise.

Hope this post, like some of my others, does not get alerted as pushing a product - am posting as a sincere effort to help fellow DUers

(9,666 posts)Over three years ago, I found a pair of shoes that are the most comfortable Ive ever owned, at least as an adult. The brand is fairly well-known, the name begins and ends with an S and they are available stock, in Extra-Wide Fit which is the key for me.
They are of a no-lace, loafer style with all-leather uppers and can easily be slipped on or off, hands free, sitting or standing. I was able to go down two half sizes because of the extra width. No more too long toes or too tight toe box. Theyre pretty much perfect for me and I wear them most days and everywhere, even for short, easy hikes up in the trees otherwise I pull out the big guns. At the beginning of the pandemic I bought another pair which Ive just now started wearing, though the first pair is still plenty serviceable. Ill buy another pair soon too, just in case.
My feet havent been this happy in decades packman, so if your OP gets yanked, at least our collective feet, hands and peace of mind wont care.

I will never buy shoes with laces again.

(16,296 posts)After adjustment with the laces (Sorta like a girdle) they are good to go and can be adjusted as needed. Not really there to be laced up every day.
I had the shoe you are showing, actually several pairs of same, and my foot just sort of felt loose in them. While walking in them, felt unsteady. Needed something more binding and firmer around my big feet, yet adjustable.

(1,039 posts)I bought a pair of these for my husband with Parkinson's disease and, since he usually rejects all my attempts to make things easier, I told him that it was my impulse and I wanted him to try them. I promised that if he set them aside I would say nothing. He tried them, set them aside, and about a week later started to wear them to the exclusion of all other shoes including his previous favorites. He has them on right now. So far the shoes have held up and, even if I had to replace them every six months, I would gladly do so.
Now if they would come up with something he would accept for socks. So far nothing I have bought has been accepted.
