For those wishing to know more what "The Metaverse" is all about

I read Snow Crash in the early 90's, and was instantly entranced by the future possibilities.

Then dialup BBS's like General Electric's Genie and The Well out of San Francisco introduced me to the concept of an online identity.

Then AOL and the Internet (USENET) began to grow the space.

Now we've got VR and we're nearly living the fiction of Ready Player One.

Big money is now committing itself into pushing the envelope even further...

Someday, the question will be asked...
"Do you believe in the users?"

These days it seems like everybody and their corporate parent company is talking about "the metaverse" as the next big thing that's going to revolutionize our online lives. But everyone seems to have their own idea of what "the metaverse" means—that is, if they have any real idea what it means at all.
