The yearly invasion of multi-colored Asian beatles

showed up in the hundreds yesterday. No matter how many I kill outside they still get in the house. I have to keep the sweeper ready all winter and vacuum them up at least a couple times a day.

And don't Paul and Ringo put up a fuss when you come at them with the vacuum?

to kill aphids on pecan trees. They weren't supposed to survive this far north but they never figured they could come north and winter in your home. They show up on the first sunny day after the first frost and spend the winter. When I moved here I had white siding on my house the entire south side of the house would be covered with them. I put new gray siding on the house and it reduced their
numbers considerably. They like white houses and especially yellow ones. The little bastards bite too.

has a good article on them. They come into the house to hibernate and then get lost trying to get out.

I only noticed 2 of them today on my plants and verified they are Asian ladybeetles under a magnifying glass.

If you found them on the east/southeast/south side of you house, they are looking for heat from the sun.

Good luck. It seems this relocating of flora/fauna doesn't work the way industry thinks it will way too often.

and they put out a fake blood too for the same reason.

It's a matter of sealing holes and cracks and entry points to keep them out.
