Tonight's Jeopardy! was great!

1. Couple of heavyweights standing in the center of the ring slugging it out

And the woman in the middle could have won if the other two missed the final.

Couldn't believe it when the first one went for the whole pile on the first double jeopardy - but then the second.

That's what I like to see.

4. I just loved that gutsiness

Of course it could have gone badly for either of them, but it didn't.

I feel like the contestants over the last few weeks have been a higher caliber than we've seen for awhile. I'm looking forward to tomorrow's show.

2. Have they ever figured out who is going to host? I used to watch long ago, but life intervened

somehow and I lost interest following the death of Trabek. Sounds like the guest challegers are making up for the hosting issues?

3. I'd be fine with rotating hosts for awhile

I know everyone doesn't agree, but Mayim Bialik is my favorite, and Ken Jennings is doing great too.

7. One of my housemates is hearing impaired,

big league hearing aids, and Ken Jennings drives her crazy! His voice is pitched too high for her hearing range.

She doesn't complain about Mayim Biyalik very often, she likes her a lot, but Ken sends her into a rage, that she can't even follow the question!

8. Yeah, he doesn't have the most pleasant voice

I like the way he keeps it moving along.

I imagine the fast pace of the game makes it difficult to keep up with the closed captioning too. I'm thankful every day for the parts of me that work.

She's also legally blind.

11. My biggest fear

One of my favorite people in the world was my aunt. In her late 80s her hearing got very bad, and she had macular degeneration so her vision was also very bad. It was so heartbreaking. She was sharp as a tack until the time of her death at 94. I miss her very much.

and they will grow in the job.

My position has always been that I watch for the questions.
There were some that I couldn't hack, chief among them Aaron Rodgers.

excited. Dane, I think. And Arthur is a smart cookie! Great game. And I'm ok w/Ken. But I liked Mayim better.
