I'm posting here because there's normally more activity than on the specific state sites.
Here's my situation/question:
I received a $600 stimulus check from the State of California earlier in the year. I think it may have been in March but I really don't remember.
Then my understanding was that second checks are (and in some case have come) coming for everyone (including those on social security) if you made less than $75,000 in 2020.
My roommate (who sometimes gets things wrong) is on Social Security, and I told her that she should be eligible (because another friend of mine who's on social security received hers). She just told me that if you received the first one, you won't get a second one.
I've tried googling but I haven't been able to get a clear answer..
Thanks to anyone who can help me!

I'm not receiving social security yet (I'm 64 and working full-time as a substitute teacher). A friend of mine is on social security and she didn't receive the first one but just recently (the past couple of weeks) receive the second one.
I don't have any dependents nor am I anyone else's dependent. It's confusing because when I go on the site this is what I see:
"To qualify, you must":
File your 2020 taxes by October 15, 2021
Have a California Adjusted Gross Income (CA AGI) of $1 to $75,000 for the 2020 tax year
Have wages of $0 to $75,000 for the 2020 tax year
Be a California resident for more than half of the 2020 tax year
Be a California resident on the date payment is issued
Cannot be claimed as a dependent by another taxpayer
My answer is yes to all of the above questions.
