Anyone else here liked watching "LA Law?"

I kind of miss that show, it was damn good.

1. The legal stuff was usually nonsense but it was an entertaining show anyhow.

8. Actually for the first few years, the show was probably the best

at depicting legal stuff. But I guess that isn't saying much.

10. It was never quite as bad as "Perry Mason."

I remember watching that show with my dad, who was a lawyer, and he'd be yelling at the TV stuff like, "No, that's all wrong! That would never happen!"

Re-watched it a while ago and had to laugh at the size of the women’s shoulder pads. Another great one is St. Elsewhere.

5. I loved St. Elsewhere.

Well, up until the finale, anyway. I had started a new job just two days before the final ep aired. I went to work the next day and was frustrated because no one else but me had seen it. A girl I hardly knew took pity on me and allowed me to vent to her about it in the office cafeteria. She received a detailed encapsulation of the entire series

4. I was a fan, too.

I remember it being some highpoint when a despised character fell down an elevator shaft

The quality seemed to decline and I gave up after a while. It apparently ran for eight seasons, but I probably didn't see it past the fourth or fifth season. For a time though, it was appointment television.

6. Another great show from Steven Bochco.

He changed television for the better. You can see his influence in almost every TV show today. I've been a fan since "Hill Street Blues."

However, let's not talk about "Cop Rock." LOL! No one us perfect.

7. I didn't like the way they talked down defendants. Not as bad as Law & Order but bad enough.
