Alaska wind chills down to 60 below zero and zero temps over most of state

winter is starting early and cold....wonder how things are going in Siberia, which may often have opposite conditions.

winter hasn't even arrived yet.

I experienced -40 in the Anchorage area in 1972 thereabouts. That's pretty much why i live in coastal west central floriduh now.

Had to change a starter on a 1968 ford station wagon in order to get to work in the military. Got light frostbite on the back of my hands and an Article 15 for being a dumb ass and not being able to work for two weeks because of it.
