Wags his tale for a long time thinking he has a new playmate. Then, as the mountain lion leaves, then he begins to bark.

LOL.

I'd have run up and grabbed my dog long before that point, but I'm a lot bigger than that cougar, and she probably wasn't, so ...

Would have wagged his tail (he likes every creature from cats to ferrets) and then growled and acted tough when it walked away. I'm with you - I would have yanked him away from the glass door and taken him into a back room and closed the door. She was obviously petrified by the big cat.

Did the mountain lion go away?

I think Dash did a fine job. A little slow to bark, but definitely stared down that big cat. And his tail was wagging the whole time. This was the highlight of Dash's day. That said, I don't think I'd let Dash out on his own for a while.

Built like a freaking wrestler. NOT the kitty you want to play with. If he got a hold of you, you wouldn't have time to kiss your ass goodbye.
