(68,667 posts)with a litter. We went down with my young daughters in tow...and looked over the kittens...there were kittens everywhere...clearly a bad breeder and the kittens were suspiciously cheap...but my sister-in-law ignored my dire warnings about this place and sent the girls into to pick one out...the girls came back with a kitten as wild as a wild cat...she clawed her way out of the box and was leaping throughout the car... a danger to every car sharing the road with me... I said to the kids 'why this one?, she's nuts.' The kids replied the lady said she was sick of this kitten and was going to drown it so of course, they took her (she only let in one or two people at a time)... A has destroyed two couches endless amount of clothes and shoes...she eventually calmed down somewhat and has more personality in one paw than any cat I ever had.
My sister-in-law became ill and had to go to a nursing home so I inherited the cat. The cat is now mine...she is still on the wicked side but I adore her. a couple of months ago when I was selling another house, she got out, I searched and thought I had talked to all the neighbors...put it on the Facebook sites. A month went by and I thought she was gone for good ( I was heartbroken and racked with guilt) when my neighbor four doors down called and said she had my cat. Yes, she had fallen into the lap of luxury with fresh tuna every day a mere four doors down from the house I was selling...she is now back home thankfully. Pets enrich our lives in so many ways.
