(8,361 posts)I had a similar experience. In the 70s I had a job where one of my duties was hand engraving brass plates for awards. I remember learning to assemble the tiny metal letters.
Perhaps this will work on a smartphone.

Did engraving on zinc plates in Art College. 👍
Just three rows of type etched on precut plates for the base of a trophy. I worked for a film festival.
