Saw the new Spider-Man in the theater with my son. We were both a little disappointed, I cant put my finger in it. My son said the first half sucked then it was good. Its not like I see a movie like that and expect it to make sense, but I guess in this case it just didnt seem as fun as other MCU movies. I liked the first Suicide Squad, this one just seemed an over the top blood bath. Red Notice I think was a smaller budget streaming movie. There were a few good moments and I like Ryan Reynolds but particularly Gal Gadot was a disappointment. Whenever my kid comes home on break we go see these kinds of movies which we both like. We were going to go to Kings Man last night but ended up just streaming the SS movie. He said it was supposed to be more of a comedy. Maybe thats why it was so ridiculous, but there were few scenes I considered amusing.

(13,424 posts)If you want a recommendation for a movie to see without your son, you might try Licorice Pizza. I thought the movie was desperately in need of an editor to cut out maybe 30 minutes of stuff; but otherwise the movie was fine. You can't help but root for Gary during the movie.

(7,733 posts)Some of the last movies we saw were the last two Jumanji movies with Dwayne Johnson and the MCU movie Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. We thought they were excellent. I liked Ten Rings better than Black Widow.

(6,110 posts)Entertaining Bollywood movie, most dialog is in English. Don't even need sub-titles.
The movie is a take off from the famous "Pride and Prejudice".

(16,962 posts)when my daughter was home. I liked it, just silly fun. I couldn't swallow the excellent power source later in the movie. lol
The same weekend, we also watched 6 Underground. That was too graphic for me. My daughter said she had seen it before, but didn't remember some of the scenes. I said it was probably because she couldn'y look. lol We had it on, but shopped for boots for me.
Happy New Year!
