1. Some things never change. One of our cats loves to "lick the bowl"...

...after my husband finishes his oatmeal. He can tell when my husband is almost finished as the sound of the spoon against the bowl gets louder as the amount of oatmeal in the bowl decreases. He sits on the kitchen island and inches closer and closer as the sound of the spoon gets louder, knowing his chance is drawing nigh.

I hope that cat had a happy life.

5. With mine, it's turkey and cheese.

No matter where he is in the house, when he hears the refrigerator open, he’s right there. He’s been dead-to-the-world asleep upstairs, but he always hears that door open.

I make myself a sandwich for lunch before I leave for work in the morning, and he’s made the connection. But now his radar is up whenever I go to the kitchen.

6. The above mentioned cat also totally adores...

…arugula. He knows the crackly sound of the plastic bag it comes in, and appears instantly. He likes spinach, too.
