On a highway crossing through big pastures, I saw a giant trailer parked on the road next to the fence, apparently having been loaded with livestock.

A cow was at the fence as the trailer started to pull away, and she (galloped?) along the fence until it was past the fence end. Then she dejectedly turned back at a slow pace.

Another cow crossed the pasture towards her, sort of rushed like checking on her. The two stood touching nuzzles for a minute. It's like she was telling her, "They took my baby away" or took somebody away.

On the delta near here. We had to sit and wait for the tide to come in to lift the boat so we could sail out. There were cows in a pasture right at the water's edge. They each came and checked us out for a while before moving on. We were probably the only interesting thing they had to look at that day.
