So what's a DU Lounge Jury and is there any infamous/cool jury decisions that were made here?

Still new to DU. I'm guessing it has something to do if someone broke the rules. If so, any infamous jury decisions or is it all routine stuff?

...forums or groups.
If one shows a willingness to serve in the profile, one occasionally will get asked to participate in an anonymous review of a potentially offensive post. (Someone has to alert on the post, the it goes to a randomly selected jury.)
Jurors are picked based on post activity & a lack of hidden posts. You can check your % chance of being selected in your profile.
When selected you can agree or disagree for that instance.
If you agree, it shows the rule thought to be violated. You still have a chance to bow out.
If you ok moving on, you'll see a list posts, all with no usernames. The offending post is outlined in a reddish frame.
You have 4 choices. Clearly breaks rule, close call but breaks rule, doesn't quite break rule, clearly doesn't break the rule.
If you choose the 4th, you'll get one more screen giving you a choice of: alert in good faith but you think the post is ok; the post is ok & the alerter might have misunderstood it; or the alerter did it in bad faith.
I probably get asked to be a juror 5 times a week. It's usually under 30 seconds, so it's not a burden.
Does that help?

From the rules:

Don't interfere with forum moderation
Don't post messages about site rules, enforcement, juries, hosts, administration, alerts, alerters, removed posts, appeals, locked threads, or anything else related to how this website is moderated (except in the Ask the Administrators forum).

Why we have this rule: The purpose of Democratic Underground is to discuss politics, issues, and current events. Open discussion of how the website is run tends to distract from our core purpose.
