I start by making the tuna... Stay with me
I'm using canned tuna. I prefer it packed in oil. Drain it till your fingers hurt and you can't squeeze out another drop of fluid and scrape it into your mixing bowl. Add plenty of finely chopped yellow onion, dill relish, about a tablespoon of grated romano cheese, about 2 tablespoons of miracle whip (you heathens can use mayo), a squirt of ranch dressing and a squirt of mustard (what kind depends on my mood, today i'm going with plain old yellow). Mix well.
Next, just a plain fried egg... I'm going with two fried eggs because I'm hungry. Fry those bad boys up in butter... Tasty, tasty, lovely butter, always lots of it.
Toast up some potato bread, nice and crispy but don't burn it like I did the first two slices.
Reheat some of that crispy bacon I always keep on hand... There is never enough crispy bacon.
Build it... Toast, then a layer of tuna, then crispy bacon, then fried eggs, then a slice of cheddar and top with the other slice of toast.
Cut it diagonal and serve with hot coffee and a tall glass of icy cold grapefruit juice.

(9,730 posts)but it's too much trouble for breakfast (I'm not a morning person). I may try it for supper sometime soon, though.

(11,916 posts)I've been having a hard time finding something I want to eat since my very last radiation treatment last week. Can't believe it's only been 6 days. Seems like an eternity. You talking about the tuna, then the bacon, THAT did it! Guess what I'm having for lunch?

(12,480 posts)I would use a lot less mustard. I mix miracle whip with mayo its delicious get a mildly less spicy miracle whip and some of the deliciousness of regular mayo.
I guess I am half heathen?
