How to play Wordle.

I received a message in my Inbox asking me to post how to play the WORDLE games. So here goes.

First click on a link below for the puzzle you want.

Wordle is the original game. There is one game a day.
You have 6 chances to select the correct 5 letter word for the day.

Wordle2 is a 6 letter word game and and there are 2 games a day; 1st released at Midnight and the 2nd released at Noon. Here's the screenshot for the noon game just released today.


Now back to Wordle, the 5 letter game

First click on the link below

A screen will come up with 6 rows of 5 empty spaces.
In the upper left hand corner there is a ?. Click on that and this screen will come up, basic instructions and information:


Use your keyboard, or the one on the screen to select letters to complete a word.
Like all puzzles there are strategies to successfully complete the game in as few tries as possible.
Most players have favorite words they use for their 1st word which identifies vowels and common consonants. So my starting word is RAISE for the 5 letter Wordle and RAISED for the 6 letter Wordle.
There are also plenty of Wordle help article on Google. Google, "How to play Wordle". Here's a good one.

Hope this gives new Wordle players help in joining the world wide addiction.

If any experienced Wordle players have any additional advice, suggestions, please add on.

1. I have three words I can use

Which can help if you don't get many letters in your first guess (or second). My 3 words don't have overlapping letters, so I can eliminate 15 possibilities in the first 3 guesses. Sometimes that depth really helps!

3. Sure, but everyone tends to find favorites.

I like earth, coins, and plumb. I just checked out a list of the most common letters and came up with these three. If I'm really struggling, I'll use a "y" word next, but that's usually while playing quordle (4 words solved within 9 guesses).

7. I also like wordlegame.org which lets you play it unlimited times

I was using their website before ny times took over so now I do the ny times wordle, wordle2 and if have spare time do some on wordlegame.org too
