(6,085 posts)Sometimes, he'll sit in another room just meowing at himself. I was concerned about it at first, but the vet said he just likes to talk.

(23,003 posts)They very rarely meowed, they were just quiet. Then we rescue a cat and she turns out to be a loud talker or rather a loud complainer. She just talks and talks whenever she's hungry until she's actually eating her food, though not as much as the one above. Then a couple of years later we adopted another street feral and he turns out to be a talker too, only his isn't just for food, he talks whenever he wants attention and it's loud. He had the loudest, most pathetic meow I've ever heard and he meows constantly in the am. We have to lock him in the other part of the house or he sleeps in my hair and wakes me up pulling and biting my hair and scalp. So I have had a complete 180, from very silent to very loud and vocal kitties. I've loved them all!
