(19,188 posts)As the soles wear down on those boots you could have metal clanking on the floor with every step. On marble or tile floors they could have the opposite of the intended effect. You could go sliding across the floor and hurt yourself.
Crampons are flexible rubber that have metal studs imbedded (some have coiled metal springs) and they stretch over your shoes/boots. One brand name is YaxTrax, and you can find them all over the net. Amazon has quite a few different makes, and it's where I always get mine. They fold right up and you could carry a pair in your purse or pocket.
I have several pair for different situations. Snow and ice, or just ice. They work magnificently.

(19,188 posts)that are literally metal claws on the heel and toe area, and I couldn't slip with those on if I wanted to. I've tried. There is no way I can slip or slide, even with a running start. They're great for snow with a layer of frozen crust on it as well.

pepperoni look like blood stains to me. The pocket with the face is downright creepy.
The list of items/ideas was fun to look thru.
I would love a raincoat that turned to a flower pattern when it got wet, and I really like the clothing tag that had a little bio of the person who made the garment.
