Never thought about the fact that anthropomorphic ducks were eating eggs, fried chicken, roast turkey. And Gyro Gearloose was supposed to be a chicken !

My dad's family passed down the term "rooster bullets".

My daughter has had a regenerating flock for eggs for over 10 years, and they are opportunistic little dinosaurs. But they are cute lol

Beeps! We still call them that and she's 30.

Younger daughter called the first meal of the day Breffecks. We still use that word too.

But a funny thing.

When she was five, my granddaughter decided to start “Beef Jerky Club”. Only people who love beef jerky can join. They now have about fifteen members. When a member gets a new jerky, they call for a meeting. Sadly, I am not a member, because I don’t love beef jerky.

I do get to go to some meetings though (hub’s is a founding member), and they had one Sunday. My husband had gone to Buc-ees in Texas, and come back with 5 new jerkys. So, they cut the jerky into little pieces, taste-test, and then share their reviews for each.

I am over in the corner, laughing.

She called it "oppage." Mom still does it--she likes nothing more than embarrassing her kids with stuff they did as babies.

"bug bread".

My grandfather, just to startle the waitress with a little adult humor would point to the hors d'oeuvres on the menu and say he wanted the "whore's ovaries". That usually got him kicked under the table by my grandmother.
