Had to chuckle.... That damned Biden!

So, this A.M., I'm getting gas before it gets any more expensive. Currently it's $4.10...and rising. The pump patron across from my car was on the phone whining about the price of gas, and telling the other party that this was all the fault of Biden, because tRump would have stopped the fuel cost from rising so much.
Please keep in mind that this clown was driving a HUGE RAM pickup probably getting 18 MPG with a stiff back wind, and then went inside to buy 2 packs of cigarettes at $7.66 each.

That damned Biden! 😂

**edit: Central Illinois pricing!**

1. We laugh - but Repugs are trying to Carter Biden, and it may be working.

The idea, as with Carter, is to use the president's delicate build and perceived lack of chest-thumping machismo against him as "the problem here."

Most Republicans think you have to look like a kind of Germanic missing link and talk like a wife-beater to be a "strong" president - and have no compunctions against pressing the button.

And sadly, it's a perception a lot of "independents" share as well.

2. Well, you know, Biden's plan is to turn everyone in the country into paupers.

God, I haven't priced cigarettes in decades, but 7.66 a pack. What a waste on several levels. They are just friggin' idiots. There I feel a bit better.

4. I quit smoking in 1991 when a pack was still 58 cents.

Man it would cost me $400-500 bucks a month if I was still smoking! A draft beer was 75 cents, maybe a buck f it was Millers or Bud on tap...I quit drinking in 1995....geez...I'm no fun at all!

5. LOL, you're right, no fun at all. I quit in 87, but I still like my glass of wine.

I can't imagine paying for cigarettes these days even if I had one of my old, professional jobs. Too steep for me...not to mention the physical toll. Talk about no sense of self responsibility. Sigh, I may need my wine a little early today.

Our gas is running about $3.60/gallon for regular at present. However, I noticed when I was at the grocery Service Desk a few days ago that the price of a pack of cigarettes varied from $10.50 - $12.50 a pack! Makes me glad I dumped that habit about 15 years ago.

6. Regarding gas prices, ours are at the same price they were over a month ago, $3.49.

That price was sheer greed by the oil companies all across the area as every gas station suddenly pushed the price up 20+ cents a gallon. Had nothing to do with price of oil or anything else. Way before the Ukraine crisis and the sanctions. I'm in SW Florida.

Cashier at checkout was complaining about how short handed they were. I asked why they thought that was. "You can blame Biden for that," was the reply.

"No," I said and laughed, "Believe me, it's not because of President Biden."

Remember how we used to jokingly say, "Thanks, Obama," any time something went wrong? Well, I guess it's "Thanks, Biden," from here on out.
