Disney Guest Frustrated With $17 Meal, Portion Sizes

Walt Disney Company CFO Christine McCarthy recently indicated that
in order to start cutting costs,
Disney plans to begin “reducing portions”
at Disney Parks restaurants as
it “would be good for Guests’ waistlines.”

Ever since, Disney Guests have been complaining about the quality of food at Disney restaurants. Recently, one Disney World Guest visited Columbia Harbor House at Magic Kingdom and ordered
a lobster roll, which clearly did not look like the advertised photo and led to disappointment and frustration.

We had a meal plan and she couldn’t get over me not getting a dessert with my meal.

Where’s your dessert?
I don’t want a dessert.
It’s part of your plan.
I. Don’t. Want. A. Dessert.
Look….

At this point my wife pulled me away to dissolve the drama.

After several years it changed hands, and the new owner began to run specials. One day the special was a sandwich, chips and a drink for about $2 off what the regular price would normally be. I ordered the sandwich and chips, but didn’t want a drink. When I got to the register, which was being run by the new owner, she charged me more than the “special” price for less product. When I complained she pointed out that I hadn’t ordered the drink, so I didn’t qualify for the special price.

That pissed me off ( I ate there at least 3 times a week) so I told her to get me a Coke. She did, and gave me the difference between what I paid and the special price. I pocketed the money, walked to the trash can, dropped in the drink, turned back and said, “I hope it was worth it,” and left. I never went back. About three months later the deli was closed. I guess I wasn’t the only one.

Don't want to. Never have. And I can add stories like this to all of the reasons I am not interested in ever going.
