More from Berlin. This is a serious set remembering the dark past.
Germany has done as well as any country in living with the past atrocities
which were committed in its name.
One picture shows the Topography of Terror, site that had the SS headquarters and jail.
A part of the Berlin wall forms one boundary.
It is a hard place to visit.
Around Berlin and other cities are Stoppelstein. these brass memorials note where
Jews had lived before either having been forced out of Germany or shipped to camps.

2. I'm in Munich

We don't have any here.
There has been a political fight to get them.
Much of the opposition has been from Jews. Some don't like
the fact that you are walking on the memorial to the people
uprooted and quite possibly murdered.
It looks like we will be getting some that aren't going to
be positioned so they can be walked on and on private ground.
