my strategy regarding gas...

I am filling up after I use a 1/4 tank instead of waiting until I need to fill up the entire tank at who-knows what price.

What are you doing?

2. I am driving my car that gets 30 MPG and only using my pickup that gets 18 MPG

when absolutely necessary. I combine trips.

7. My car gets pretty good mileage

about 42 mpg. So far, I’ve not changed strategy. I fill up on payday and then get a couple gallons when needed towards the end of the work week.

12. My long-time strategy has been.....

...always buy the same dollar amount at every stop (for my mid-sized Impala, $25.00). That way, I buy more gallons at the lower prices, fewer at the higher prices (Yes, I know, I have to stop more often when it's high, but the math still works.) It's dollar-cost averaging applied to gasoline.
