When I left the gym the other day I was struck by how many people paid their fees in order to lean on equipment to look at their phones.

1. I'm endlessly flabbergasted by how many families go out to eat in nice restaurants.....

and pay big money to just sit around a big table with all faces stuck to cell phones.

Not my idea of how to enjoy a good meal or to be sanely social with family.......

2. Drinking coffee with the morning crowd

We went to a Y for years and switched to another gym. We switched back and the first morning I went in it was exactly the same people milling around with styrofoam coffee cups especially in the weight area.

The pool is another story. Those people don’t play around.

3. Hey, at least they get there!

How about all those people who pay the fees and never get through the door?

6. I don't understand why people go to gyms

it's easy to get fit at home and avoid sweaty people and germs

to each their own I suppose
