My artist husband heard/read about the Native girl that used to be on the box was a clever, cut-out optical trick. He trimmed the box and folded it in two places and suddenly the girl was cupping her bare breasts. I'm not surprised they realized that joke was over.

Because...I don't know...it sounded so wild that I guess I just wanted to see for myself? Anyway, after staring at a picture of a Land O Lakes butter box and being totally stumped, it suddenly occurred to me that somebody might have made a video. (Duh)

I don't know whether I'm more disturbed that this exists or that multiple people actually discovered it on their own. But now that I know about it, I'm really, REALLY glad they made this change!

Butter was not a part of the traditional Native American diet.
According to the National Digestive Diseases Information Clearinghouse, some 30 million to 50 million Americans are lactose intolerant, including up to 75 percent of African Americans and American Indians and 90 percent of Asian Americans.

but apparently being offended by a juvenile trick is more important.

"They literally removed the Indian and kept the land" sums up American history.
