1. What does Eastwood have to do with this?

IMO his right wing ass has no right to try to ingratiate himself into the rap/anime/progressive online world after his debacle of an appearance at that republican national convention with the empty chair, supposedly Pres. Obama.

We know where he stands politically. He has no right to use such images of POC...if this is him at all associated with this.

Pls provide more information as to the origin and creators of this video.

2) This is a song by a band named Gorillaz. Gorillaz is a popular "virtual band", similar to say, Alvin and the Chipmunks.

3) The song name is "Clint Eastwood". The reason the song is called Clint Eastwood is because of the strange harmonica-like instrument used in the background, which is called a melodica. It is a keyboard instrument that is played by blowing through a tube and pressing its keys. Damon Albarn of Gorillaz plays it throughout the track, and he thought it sounded a lot like the score to the Clint Eastwood's movie A Fistful of Dollars.

Also, Clint Eastwood is the name of a Jamaican reggae artist who the band heard about when they were recording the album in Jamaica. Albarn explained during a Reddit AMA: "We were recording in Jamaica and listening to a lot of dancehall music and we imagined a cool moniker to have would be Clint Eastwood. Also I'm a great fan of the actor and of Sergio Leone and Ennio Morricone."

4) This song lifts my spirits whenever I play it. It brings me joy.

5) It appears to me that people of all races appear in the animated video.

If that got under your skin, perhaps a 15 second Google search would have loosened the tight grip you have on your pearls.

Instead, you choose to jump on my shit for something that you don't understand, but have the ability to understand with a quick Google search.

For all you knew, it could have been a song that puts down Clint Eastwood. But you didn't bother to just look the goddamn thing up on Google yourself, and in two separate posts now, you pretty much command me to explain the song, and state that I didn't provide enough information to satisfy your rage.

You come across as someone looking for an argument. Don't tell me what "would have done the job". There was no job to be done. Don't like my post? Either find out about it yourself or just move on if you don't have the desire to do that. It's apparent you couldn't even be bothered to listen to the song before attacking my post.

Of course, if I knew it would have upset you so much, I would have written a complete essay explaining:

1) My favorite music Genre

2) Why this song moves me emotionally

3) What specific circumstance I relate this song to

4) Why I decided to post this song on 6AM on a Sunday

To alleviate this problem in the future, please do a simple post in the lounge. Nothing too elaborate, maybe just "." in the title. This will let me know that you are reading the lounge, and that I'd better explain the shit out of every song that I post, instead of just posting the artist and song name that is in the YouTube description.

That way, you won't even have to listen to the song. However, that might deprive you of beneficial exercise of jumping to conclusions. And God knows, we all could use some exercise. So now I'm torn on how to handle it when I post songs.

Do I post the song title and name of the song and have readers get some beneficial exercise by jumping to conclusions, or, do I write a master's thesis about the song because the song title contains letters that are in a certain order that may upset someone?
