(26,861 posts)I know that millions of people love that movie, and that their viewing experience is not what mine was.
I'll admit, I was a very fragile, insecure child, and easily upset by that perhaps other kids would take in stride.
For me, seeing children get, essentially, the death penalty for bratty and obnoxious behavior was horrifying.
Not that I excuse such behavior, but it is what (many) kids will do until educated to do otherwise.
I do very much appreciate your reaching out and your kindness toward my own sensitivities. If the world were populated with people such as you, it would be a much better place!!

Wiley is very happy today. He is looking at us right now.
I discovered Wiley E, in the mid 50s. We had a movie theater about 1/4 of a mile from where I lived then. It was the Shore Theater" on 75th Street (south) in Chicago.. That theater had cartoon shows from time to time and the latest Warner TOONS, were often shown.......................................................................
..
....I remember those shows and the theater well......25 cartoons...for 25 cents.. .............................
That is where I got to like poor Wiley E. (That theater is gone, as are so many movie theaters from the 50s and 60s.)
Many Years Later, I had a chance to meet Chuck Jones and got to talk to him for a moment and got
his autograph with a nice message.. Chuck Jones was a Warner's Brother's Director who actually made many Wiley E. cartoons. Chuck did eventually win an Acadamy Award for a cartoon called ..."The Dot and The Line" (1965)
Wiley E. Coyote is may absolute favorite.....Why?................................................................................
...........................Wiley E Coyote NEVER GIVES UP..HE COMES BACK AND TRIES AGAIN..............
i have a cartoon collection of famous toons. I do think I have all of Wiley's attempt to capture the Road Runner...
.............Yes, All of Wiley's Toons....He is my hero...!!!
In case you want to see this cartoon, "The Dot and The Line" it is at the link & will play when you want

I envy you meeting Jones and your collection.
