Ides Of March - 1980

This woman decided it would be a good idea to marry me.
After all the extra schooling, the rock bands, the international travel, the golf, and my quirks, we just hit 42 years!
We just got home from an early anniversary dinner at a steakhouse.
We missed our 40th because it was the weekend when Illinois shut down.
We missed our 41st because there was another spike and neither of us had gotten our second vax shot, yet.
We went to this place early because we knew it's the least crowded time.
We had to wrap up 3 years of anniversaries into one 2 hour visit!
But, 42 years. With the likes of me. I won the lottery.

We're both still full, and neither of us finished all the steak.
Tomorrow's lunch should be pretty darned good!

He was a bit under 11# when we picked him up on Feb 19.
On the 7th of this month he was 18.5#. Sunday he was 21#!
He adapted in hours, not days.
I'm hoping he gets to a size reasonably close to full size by June because I need to buy him a seatbelt harness before we start riding with the top down. Not sure the harness we have will fit. It might be too big for him.

I'm 65 & my dad died at 69. Both grandmothers died at 59.
I make no presumption I've got 8 more years.
But, I am in better health than any of them at an equivalent age.
45 years seems realistic. We'll see about 50.
