Every parent knows the wonderment, "where did they get that?" desire, preference, interest, idea, ....
Individuality transcends body, nature, nurture, etc.
(As though) we all arrive with a pre-packed travel valise of 'one's lot in life.
The new-born, body, family, place, time, society, certain circumstances are all given.
From then forward we each begin desiring, acting designing our own cloaks of many colors.
By the time we die, our travel valise of karma has grown to several steamer trunks full of unfinished desires.
